Bakery Manager Job Description

The Co+Kitchen is seeking a skilled Bakery Manager to lead our bakery team and oversee the production of high-quality baked goods. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our established standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of the bakery, including production planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Develop and implement recipes, menus, and production schedules to meet customer demand and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Train and mentor staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
  • Ensure that all products are prepared and presented to the highest standards, and that quality control measures are in place to prevent contamination and food safety issues.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, including ordering and receiving supplies, and maintain accurate records of inventory and production.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of production, and to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue, including merchandising and promotional activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or food production environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality control principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
