Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Advisor to join our team at Acera Insurance. As an Insurance Advisor, you will be responsible for advising, explaining, promoting, and selling insurance policies to ensure our clients are correctly insured.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide auto and other types of insurance, including commercial fleet, to our clients
- Recommend and implement clients' insurance coverages, premiums, and methods of payment
- Provide information on varying insurance policies, including risk coverages, limitations, and other features
- Respond to emergencies and assist clients with their claims
- Process transactions in EPIC, ICBC system, Autolink, and private insurers' web portals
- Complete other duties and tasks as assigned by your team leader
Requirements
- Client-focused mindset
- Ability to work weekends
- Adaptable and accepting of change
- Well-developed people and professional communication skills
- Courteous to clients and coworkers
- Adhere to the Insurance Council of BC Code of Conduct
- Previous insurance experience preferred but not required
- A Level 1 BC General Insurance Licence or a commitment to obtaining a Licence within 30 days of hire date
