Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Advisor to join our team at Acera Insurance. As an Insurance Advisor, you will play a crucial role in advising and explaining insurance policies to our clients, ensuring they are correctly insured.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide auto and other types of insurance, including commercial fleet, to our clients
- Recommend and implement clients' insurance coverages, premiums and methods of payment
- Provide information on varying insurance policies, including risk coverages, limitations and other features
- Respond to emergencies and assist clients with their claims
- Process transactions in EPIC, ICBC system, autolink and private insurers web portals
- Complete other duties and tasks as assigned by your team leader
Requirements
- Client-focused mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable and accepting of change
- Well-developed people and professional communication skills
- Courteous to clients and co-workers
- Adhere to the Insurance Council of BC Code of Conduct
- Previous insurance experience preferred but not required
- A Level 1 BC General Insurance Licence or a commitment to obtaining a Licence within 30 days of hire date
