We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Symposium Café Restaurant and Lounge. Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and improve daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor revenues and labour costs to make informed decisions.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including staff schedules and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and provincial/territorial liquor legislation.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation.
  • Address customer complaints and provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
