Job Summary

Oakes Truck Sales is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Utilize your technical expertise to detect faults and malfunctions in our heavy-duty trucks, identifying areas for repair and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Employ computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and malfunctions, determining the extent of repair required to ensure our trucks meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintenance Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required, ensuring high-quality repairs and maintenance.
  • Equipment Testing and Verification: Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and functionality, verifying that work meets manufacturer specifications.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and lubrication tasks to maintain the optimal condition of our equipment.
  • Repair and Maintenance of Heavy Trucks: Perform repair and maintenance work on our heavy-duty trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Service and Maintenance of Attachments and Tools: Service and maintain attachments and working tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Emission Control System Verification and Repair: Verify and repair emission control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Diesel Engine Repair Specialization
  • Fuel Injection System: Repair and maintain fuel injection systems, ensuring optimal engine performance.
  • Exhaust System: Repair and maintain exhaust systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cooling System: Repair and maintain cooling systems, ensuring optimal engine performance.
  • Air Conditioning System: Repair and maintain air conditioning systems, ensuring optimal comfort and performance.
  • Lubrication System: Repair and maintain lubrication systems, ensuring optimal engine performance.
  • Engine Control System: Repair and maintain engine control systems, ensuring optimal engine performance.
  • Major Internal Engine Repairs or Overhaul: Perform major internal engine repairs or overhaul, ensuring optimal engine performance.
  • Installation and Alignment of Engines and Machinery: Install and align engines and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
