Job Title: Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Technician to join our team at Oakes Truck Sales. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex diesel engine systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Welding experience
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Diesel Engine Repair Specialization:
  • Fuel injection system
  • Exhaust system
  • Cooling system
  • Air conditioning system
  • Lubrication system
  • Engine control system
  • Major internal engine repairs or overhaul
  • Installation and alignment of engines and machinery
