We are seeking a highly skilled Water Supply Operator II to join our Water Supply branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, inspecting, monitoring, and repairing the City's Water Storage, Treatment, and Distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain equipment such as ultraviolet light disinfection systems, chlorine disinfection systems, pumps, and pressure regulators.
- Utilize computer systems such as SCADA, MMS, and Operational Data Bases to compile and analyze various systems and equipment reports and documentation.
- Perform sampling, testing, and recording of water quality.
- Inspect and clean equipment and infrastructure, and respond to enquiries from contractors, engineers, the public, and other departments.
- EOCP Water Distribution II Certification
- EOCP Water Treatment I Certification
- Chlorine Handling
- Dam Inspection & Maintenance certification
- BC Class 5 Drivers License
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. The successful candidate will be required to work at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and may be required to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
