Job Title: Lead Childcare Program Developer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Learning Tree Academy as a Lead Childcare Program Developer. This is a permanent position offering 32-35 hours of work per week.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing childcare programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a child care centre setting and possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will also be required to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, order supplies and equipment, observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement high-quality childcare programs that support the overall development of children;
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants;
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children;
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children;
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years);
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a child care centre;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations;
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
