Job Title: Lead Acid Battery Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Lead Acid Battery Assembler to join our team at Westex International. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and packaging lead acid batteries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate machinery to assemble, test, and package lead acid batteries
  • Perform minor repairs to items rejected from the production line
  • Collect, record, and summarize inspection results
  • Position lead acid storage batteries on the assembly line
  • Insert battery contents into casings
  • Operate machinery to fabricate plates for lead acid storage batteries
  • Load machinery with glass tubes, bulbs, and other parts to produce light bulbs and tubes
  • Remove and package finished products
  • Operate or feed machinery and equipment to produce electrical wiring devices
  • Operate equipment to apply protective coatings to items
  • Check in-process and completed production for visual or mechanical defects
  • Operate testing equipment to maintain quality of products
  • Return faulty assemblies to production for repair
  • Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
Work Environment:

Our production facility is a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements:
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
