Job Title: Pastoral Animator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Animator to join our team at Good Shepherd Refuge Social Ministries. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual support and guidance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist at Services of Public Worship and Religious Rites: Participate in and assist with various religious services and rites, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
  • Provide Spiritual Guidance and Moral Support: Offer one-on-one counseling and support to clients, helping them navigate life's challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Administer Programs Providing Food, Clothing, and Shelter: Collaborate with our team to develop and implement programs that meet the basic needs of our clients, promoting dignity and self-sufficiency.
  • Deliver Lectures and Presentations: Develop and deliver engaging presentations on various topics, including faith, values, and life skills, to clients and community groups.
  • Counsel Individuals on Daily-Life Issues: Provide confidential counseling and guidance to clients on issues such as relationships, employment, and personal growth.
  • Conduct Religious Services: Lead and participate in various religious services, including worship services, prayer meetings, and other spiritual events.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as theology, counseling, or social work.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
