Job Title: Pastoral Animator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Animator to join our team at Good Shepherd Refuge Social Ministries. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual support and guidance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist at services of public worship and religious rites, creating a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Provide religious education, spiritual guidance, and moral support to individuals and groups, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Administer programs providing food, clothing, and shelter, demonstrating empathy and understanding for those in need.
  • Deliver lectures and presentations on topics related to faith, spirituality, and personal growth, inspiring and motivating others.
  • Counsel individuals on daily-life issues, offering guidance and support in a non-judgmental and confidential manner.
  • Conduct religious services, leading worship and prayer, and creating a sense of connection with the divine.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as theology, counseling, or social work.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and mutual respect.
