Mortgage Advisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Advisor to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Mortgage Advisor, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, providing expert mortgage advice, and driving mortgage sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of clients' financial goals and objectives to provide tailored mortgage advice.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate timely mortgage approvals and closings while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  3. Stay informed about market trends, mortgage products, and industry regulations to provide informed advice and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  4. Focus on building trust by delivering transparent and honest advice, building rapport, and maintaining open communication throughout the mortgage process.
  5. Prioritize client experience by understanding client needs, delivering personalized service, and ensuring a seamless mortgage application process.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of proven success in the mortgage industry, or a related field.
  2. Strong commitment to trust development, client experience, and delivering exceptional service.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  4. Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to succeed in a commission-based sales environment.
