About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Mortgage Advisor to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Mortgage Advisor, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, providing expert mortgage advice, and driving mortgage sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Building: Develop and maintain lasting relationships with clients, referral partners, and community stakeholders to generate mortgage opportunities and referrals.
  2. Mortgage Advice: Utilize your banking expertise and communication skills to provide tailored mortgage advice that aligns with clients' financial goals and objectives.
  3. Trust Development: Focus on building trust by delivering transparent and honest advice, building rapport, and maintaining open communication throughout the mortgage process.
  4. Client Experience: Prioritize client experience by understanding client needs, delivering personalized service, and ensuring a seamless mortgage application process.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters, to facilitate timely mortgage approvals and closings while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  6. Market Knowledge: Stay informed about market trends, mortgage products, and industry regulations to provide informed advice and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven success in the mortgage industry, or a related field.
  2. Commitment: Strong commitment to trust development, client experience, and delivering exceptional service.
  3. Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  4. Entrepreneurial Mindset: Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to succeed in a commission-based sales environment.
