About the Role: As a Principal Systems Engineer at Spire Global, Inc., you will be responsible for the technical success of complex space missions. Your expertise in engineering disciplines and ability to coordinate teams across multiple time zones will help ensure mission accomplishment.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Taking overall technical ownership of space systems from development through on-orbit verification.
  • Leading requirements management for a given mission or program.
  • Managing technical risk for a given mission or program.
  • Developing top-level requirements and flowing them down to lower-level requirements.
  • Serving as the primary technical point of contact to customers and contractors.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent STEM-related field.
  • Extensive experience working in a technical engineering discipline or as a systems engineer for complex integrated systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of space systems and concepts of operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
