Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) at St. Boniface Hospital plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, working under the supervision of the Manager Health Services. With a commitment to the hospital's Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy, the RN delivers independent nursing services, administers prescribed medical treatments, and coordinates patient care and discharge.

Experience

  • Recent combined mother-baby care, Labour & Delivery, LDRP, neonatal, and Antepartum nursing experience required.
  • Nurses currently working on A6 Antepartum/Gyne will be deemed qualified due to the antepartum experience on that unit.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Current CRNM registration required.
  • Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM), preferred.
  • Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required.
  • If no applicants meet the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant without the required qualifications.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bilingualism required, with the ability to understand and speak English and French.
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
