Pediatric Healthcare Specialist

At North York General Hospital, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and are seeking a Pediatric Healthcare Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children and their families in our Paediatrics Inpatient Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent patient care and support to children and their families in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to assess, educate, and provide care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric nursing.

Requirements:

  • Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1-year general paediatric experience.
  • Paediatric Health Assessment Course, preferred.
