Sc.wén̓wen Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is seeking a seasoned Chief Executive Officer to drive the long-term success and sustainable growth of our organization. Key Responsibilities:- Set the strategic vision, mission, values, and plans to drive business growth and development.
- Provide leadership to advance the vision, mission, and mandate of SEDC.
- Manage the corporation in the interests of shareholders, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and ethical conduct.
- Lead the growth of the corporation through effective management of human resources, assets, and innovation.
- Develop and mentor future leaders within the organization.
- Maintain open communication with the Board of Directors and ensure compliance with fiduciary responsibilities.
- Establish an effective senior management team and succession plans.
- Collaborate with the Board and staff to develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy.
- Implement corporate strategic plans to maximize shareholder value.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards strategic objectives.
- Establish operational excellence by setting quality and profit improvement goals.
- Create robust financial plans and strategies to safeguard the company's viability.
- Analyze financial performance metrics regularly.
- Establish risk management systems to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Foster a culture of safety excellence and accountability.
- Integrate health and safety initiatives into the company's overall strategic goals.
- Promote Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion within the organization.
- Contribute positively as a corporate citizen in the communities we serve.
- Communicate the corporation's value to stakeholders.
- Built on SEDC's mission of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
- Baccalaureate degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years' experience as a CEO and/or Executive level position, leading a complex organization in the resource sector.
This role offers a highly competitive salary range of $130,000 to $150,000 per year, reflecting the market rate for this position in Kamloops, BC. We offer a dynamic work environment that fosters professionalism, integrity, commitment, respect, collaboration, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be based in Kamloops, BC, and must be able to relocate before starting work.
