About the Role

You will lead a talented team in upgrading existing and developing new products, from conception through production, and manufacturing lines. Your expertise will drive innovation and efficiency in our engineering and manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Product Development Leadership: Lead the engineering team in designing and developing new products, ensuring they meet customer needs and company standards.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects using standard and visual project management methods, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement policies, standards, or procedures for engineering and technical work, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Confer with management, production, sales, and marketing teams regarding product specifications or procedures, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
  • Technical Expertise: Ensure designs, drawings, and test specifications support successful manufacturing, and lead problem-solving in all areas of manufacturing and product development.
  • Manufacturing Improvement: Collaborate with internal and external manufacturing teams to improve our capability, yields, and capacity through design for manufacture.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience leading in a product development/engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge/understanding and demonstrable application of manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of technical writing of manufacturing documents (PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, Work Instructions, and Checklists).
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of small engine components (mechanical and electrical).
  • Relevant software experience (e.g., MS Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
