Abbotsford Christian School is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Executive Director / Head of School. This is a 1.0 FTE position that will commence on September 1, 2025.
The Executive Director is the chief administrator of Abbotsford Christian School and is directly accountable to the ACS Board of Directors. As a visionary leader, the Executive Director advises the ACS Board on policy, decision-making, and long-range planning. They will implement these policies, decisions, and plans using the staff, community of volunteers, and financial resources available.
The ideal candidate will have a recognized post-graduate university degree, preferably a master's degree or professional designation, and more than five years of senior leadership experience. They will possess strong leadership skills, including the ability to provide direction, encouragement, and motivate staff. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including strong negotiation skills, are also essential.
The ideal candidate will be aligned with ACS' core values and beliefs and adhere to the ACS Community Standards. They will be able to liaise between ACS board members, staff, and community members.
The salary range for this position is $160,000 – $185,000, plus an extensive benefits package, and is dependent on an applicant's qualifications and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the school
- Develop and implement policies and procedures
- Lead and manage the school's staff and volunteers
- Communicate effectively with the ACS Board, staff, and community members
Requirements:
- Recognized post-graduate university degree
