The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. As a natural born leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assigning resources to projects alongside the VP of Engineering
  • Obtaining approval for project plans in accordance with scope, budget, and work order
  • Producing and obtaining approvals for all Tier 1 deliverables with support for simulations and concept visualizations
  • Providing percent complete for tasks deliverables weekly for all projects
  • Guiding, directing, and managing engineering team members to successfully complete all engineering deliverables, internal reviews, and customer approvals
  • Reviewing and obtaining approvals for all program deliverables
  • Chairing all internal and customer Tier reviews and buy-offs
  • Overseeing and assisting onsite teams, contractors, and suppliers
  • Working onsite when necessary to address technical, client management, or team performance issues
  • Being accountable for the quality of engineering work and margin realization
  • Participating in employee discipline processes
  • Negotiating and obtaining approvals for customer changes
  • Supporting sales and solutioning activities and solutioning tiered deliverables when assigned
  • Proactively identifying new business opportunities amongst current clients and projects

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years' experience with automation projects and systems
  • Experience with equipment build and integration
  • Knowledge of ABB Robots, Siemens PLCs, and Rockwell PLCs preferred
  • Legally eligible to work in both Canada and the United States
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel
