We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist to join our Medical Imaging team.
Hours of work: Available to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends (subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights)
Employee Group : OPSEU 577
Hourly Rate Range : $32.98 - $45.56
Position Responsibilities:
- Performing all general ultrasound duties, and other duties as assigned, including abdomen, O.B./gyn., small parts, vascular Doppler, MSK, breast.
- Prepare and assess patients for ultrasound exam including confirm exam validity based on history provided
- Complete exam process by image review, completing sonographers impression sheet, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via PACS
Qualifications:
- Must be registered or in the process of obtaining registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Must have Personal Liability Insurance (PLI)
- Accredited college diploma preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience with all aspects of ultrasound preferred
- Previous US experience within a hospital setting preferred
- Strong documentation skills required
- Excellent knowledge of anatomy required
- Ability to work independently as well as within a group environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have good teamwork and customer service skills
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
