Job Overview

The Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at the University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our cardiovascular imaging department, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring efficient and effective imaging procedures
  • Prepare and document patient reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations for further treatment
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care and support
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest imaging techniques and technologies

Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized post-diploma program in cardiovascular principles and instrumentation
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification and minimum two years' recent cardiac ultrasound experience
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) and Sonography Canada or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
