About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our Automation & Digitalization division at ANDRITZ AG. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading control systems projects from inception to completion, ensuring that project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership
    • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, budgets, and resourcing, including managing the procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
    • Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Manage project risks and issues, including developing contingency plans and mitigating strategies.
  • Control Systems Design and Development
    • Design and develop control systems, including hardware and software components, to meet the specific requirements of a project.
    • Develop and implement control algorithms and logic.
    • Integrate control systems with existing or new equipment, machinery, or processes.
    • Test and debug control systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to specifications.
  • Technical Documentation
    • Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Mentor and coach junior engineers and technologists.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering with a focus on automation and electrification technologies.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering; preferably in Pulp & Paper.
  • Consulting engineering experience an asset.
  • Registered as an EIT or P.Eng., or AScT in British Columbia.
  • Strong understanding of automation and electrification technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience an asset.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites.
