Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Facilities Management Specialist to join our team at Mazy's Maintenance & Cleaning Services.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires 35 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of light-duty cleaning staff, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and safety in various settings including office buildings, commercial facilities, hospitals, and clinics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and arrange for the training of cleaning staff;
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers, including assigning tasks and monitoring their progress;
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards;
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for cleaning services;
  • Recommend additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, or replacement of furnishings and equipment;
  • Maintain accurate financial records;
  • Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs;
  • Assist cleaners in performing their duties;
  • Coordinate work activities with other departments;
  • Establish work schedules.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a similar role and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
