The Seniors Mental Health program at Alberta Health Services provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services for individuals aged 65 and above with psychiatric illnesses, including dementia and mood/thought disorders. Our goal is to empower each patient to achieve their optimal level of functioning, enabling them to reintegrate into their community.
Description:
As a Psychiatric Aide, you will be an integral member of our multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively to meet the personal care needs and comfort of our patients. You will assist nurses in providing routine care, ensuring patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs are met. Additionally, you will participate in organized activities and programs, observe and report on patients' mood, health, and well-being, and maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12. A combination of education and experience satisfactory to the employer will also be considered.
