Process Control Specialist

About the Role:
Glatfelter is seeking a highly skilled Automation Control Engineer to join our team at our Gatineau facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process control systems using Osisoft PI technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain process control systems using Osisoft PI, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure reliability and quality of process control systems.
- Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
- Participate in the development of electromechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements and Skills:
- Experience in system development on PI/Osisoft (PI vision), MicroSoft tools, SQL server.
- University degree in Automated Production Engineering or Electrical Engineering, OIQ member or fit to become.
- Knowledge of industrial systems such as Engine, Drive, PLC Control Logix, RS-View and Factory Talk Operator Interface and process control systems.
- Industrial experience an asset.
- Experience 0 to 2 years.
