Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team at Westlake Paving & Aggregates. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our aggregate and asphalt products, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality control testing of aggregate products from multiple sources
  • Conduct quality control testing of asphalt products for two locations
  • Ensure processes are controlled during production, stockpiling, and loading of aggregate and asphalt
  • Support the Quality Control Supervisor to obtain necessary objectives
  • Collect, compile, and enter quality control data
  • Work closely with the Asphalt and Aggregate teams to provide KPI information
  • Provide support to plant personnel to ensure delivery of the highest quality products
  • Work closely with our internal supply team to ensure the quality of our raw materials through ASTM testing and reporting

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in Engineering, C.E.T or equivalent
  • A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Strong communication skills
  • Technical knowledge of construction materials
  • Self-starter
  • Self-discipline
  • Flexible
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate
  • Good negotiator (Win/Win)

Compensation

Wage Range $30-$35/hour subject to qualifications and experience.

This role involves working beyond regular hours; The selected candidate must be capable of working overtime as needed.
