Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team at Westlake Paving & Aggregates. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our aggregate and asphalt products, meeting customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality control testing of aggregate products from multiple sources, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage the asphalt and aggregate quality control team in the Okanagan market, supporting the Quality Control Supervisor to achieve objectives.
  • Collect, compile, and enter quality control data, providing KPI information to the Asphalt and Aggregate teams.
  • Work closely with plant personnel to ensure delivery of high-quality products and collaborate with the internal supply team to ensure the quality of raw materials.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, C.E.T, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and technical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-discipline, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy and good negotiation skills.
