Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality surgical care to patients with a range of plastic surgery needs, including oncologic reconstruction, microsurgery, and breast reconstruction.
  • Participate in teaching and education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and contribute to the development of educational programs.
  • Conduct research and scholarly activities in the field of plastic surgery, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the field.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for certification in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association membership in good standing.
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
