As a key member of our Plastic Surgery Division, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the academic and research mission of the university.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality surgical care to patients with a range of plastic surgery needs, including oncologic reconstruction, microsurgery, and breast reconstruction.
- Participate in teaching and education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and contribute to the development of educational programs.
- Conduct research and scholarly activities in the field of plastic surgery, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the field.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Eligibility for certification in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Canadian Medical Protective Association membership in good standing.
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
