Restaurant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Smittys Restaurant & Lounge.
Job Summary:The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly and efficiently. This includes supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our means and making a profit.
- Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all customers receive excellent service.
- Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date records.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports, providing management with accurate and timely information.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Environment: Noisy, odours, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative.
- Health Benefits: Health care plan.
- Duration of Employment: Permanent.
- Language of Work: English.
- Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
