Cultural Liaison Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cultural Liaison to join our team at Native Counselling Services of Alberta. As a Cultural Liaison, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Work with Indigenous clients to assess their needs and develop culturally sensitive support plans.
- Liaise with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide cultural awareness training and education to staff and community members.
- Assist with the development and implementation of culturally responsive programs and services.
- Collaborate with Elders and community leaders to ensure cultural sensitivity and relevance in all aspects of our work.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Indigenous studies, social work, counseling).
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and experiences.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
