Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Lethbridge School Division. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in addressing barriers to participation and learning, and promoting the success of all children and students from Early Education to grade 12.

About the Role:

This is a temporary position available from December 2024 to June 2026. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic and innovative team to deliver a continuum of support within our Response to Instruction and Intervention framework (RTI2). You will provide universal strategies to support all students in inclusive classrooms, facilitate the development of age-appropriate skills, and administer, score, and interpret standardized assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assessment and therapeutic programming based on a referral system
  • Complete assessment and treatment reports and year-end summaries
  • Provide recommendations for universal, targeted, and specialized services based on data gathered
  • Collaborate with other therapists and specialists to support student development
  • Participate as a member of the Learning Team to develop, facilitate, and monitor student program plans and successful transitions

Requirements:

  • Degree in a recognized program in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Registration with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
  • Eligibility for certification with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC)
  • Experience working in an educational setting is preferred
