Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Lethbridge School Division. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with communication and language development needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to address barriers to participation and learning, and promote the success of all children and students from Early Education to grade 12. You will be responsible for delivering a continuum of support within the division's Response to Instruction and Intervention framework (RTI2), providing universal strategies to support all students in inclusive classrooms, and facilitating the development of age-appropriate skills through play.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver assessment and therapeutic programming to students with communication and language development needs
  • Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessments to inform instruction and intervention
  • Complete assessment and treatment reports and year-end summaries to support student progress
  • Provide recommendations for universal, targeted, and specialized services based on data gathered
  • Collaborate with other therapists and specialists to support student development
  • Participate as a member of the Learning Team to develop, facilitate, and monitor student program plans and successful transitions
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized program
  • Registration with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
  • Eligibility for certification with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC)
  • Experience working in an educational setting is preferred
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and a reliable vehicle
