Job Title: Full Time Community and Family Services Worker

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Full Time Community and Family Services Worker to join our team. As a key member of our community services team, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct intake interviews and assessments to determine client needs and provide appropriate support and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to clients as needed.
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of community programs and services, including food bank operations and community outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client information and service delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of service plans and strategies.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Community College Diploma in Social Services or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in providing casework services and community outreach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment in all aspects of the job.
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
Working Conditions:
  • 37.5 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend work required.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
  • Working environment is typically in the office, with occasional travel required.
