Job Title: Residence Co-ordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residence Co-ordinator to join our team at Oakville Children's Homes. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to our clients, ensuring their safety and well-being in a residential setting.

Job Summary:

The Residence Co-ordinator will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the delivery of residential services to clients, including developing and implementing individualized plans, providing support and guidance, and ensuring the overall well-being of clients. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for clients, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients, including assistance with daily living tasks, emotional support, and crisis intervention.
  • Coordinate and implement the delivery of residential services, including life skills workshops and behavior management programs.
  • Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, to ensure comprehensive support and care.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Intensive behavioural intervention Certification.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Child Abuse Registry check.
  • Child welfare check.
  • Driver's validity licence check.
  • Medical exam.
  • Adult Abuse Registry check.
