We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team at the City of Thunder Bay. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency calls and provide patient care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Assess patient conditions and provide treatment as needed, including administering medications and performing medical procedures.
- Transport patients to medical facilities in a safe and timely manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- Current certification as a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Paramedic, preferably in an emergency medical services (EMS) setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Valid Ontario Class F driver's license and a clean driving record.
