Job Title: Biomedical Technologist

Humber River Health is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Technologist to join our team. As a Biomedical Technologist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment, including diagnostic and electronic medical equipment.
  • Conduct incoming inspections and testing on new equipment, and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical technology and equipment, and participate in training programs to enhance your skills.
  • Work collaboratively with other Biomedical Technologists and hospital staff to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to medical equipment maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Community College Biomedical Engineering Technologist program, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid Ontario driver's license required for travel between hospital sites.
  • CBET certification is an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 35 kg's).
