Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Tipton's Your Independent Grocer. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Hire and manage food service staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, including food handling, preparation, and presentation.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food products meet our high standards.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for food service operations.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on food service operations and sales.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Work Environment

Tipton's Your Independent Grocer is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will also be required to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
