Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager I to join the Acute Care Facility team. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion of project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including project teams, departmental leaders, and external partners.
  • Provide guidance and support to project staff, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, team members, and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, or a relevant healthcare discipline.
  • Five to seven years of recent, related experience in project management, including experience in healthcare operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a complex, interdisciplinary environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency in project management software, including Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar tools.
