Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at AAREAL STAR DEVELOPMENT INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to woodworking and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Work Environment

The Woodworking Specialist will work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, mills, and industrial plants. The work environment will be noisy, dusty, and at heights.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
