Job Overview:

The Deputy GBTS Manager is responsible for assisting in providing oversight and management of the Training Information Management Systems (TIMS). This includes coordinating changes to the enhancements and courseware used by the Department of National Defence (DND).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Courseware Management: Technical responsibility for development and integration of courseware, training equipment, and TIMS.
  • Liaison between software companies and Allied Wings: Ensure technical issues are promptly communicated and tracked.
  • Participate in the Training Program Improvement Committee.
  • Delivery and administration of the Course Critique Program.
  • Assist in audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
  • Act as GBTS Manager as required.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by the GBTS Manager.

Required Certification, Education, or Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Degree from accredited university or college in Project or Business Management, or in Education.
  • Experience in instructional design or curriculum review.
  • Knowledge of aviation/military terminology preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs.
