Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team at KINDRED CONSTRUCTION LTD. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a focus on leading and managing complex projects from initiation to completion. This role involves developing and executing project plans, schedules, and budgets while ensuring the highest safety and quality standards.

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, including health, safety, and environmental protection. You will implement and manage Kindred's Construction Managers systems and procedures, including digital platforms, project filing systems, cost accounting systems, and project directories. Strategic interaction with clients and external stakeholders is a key aspect of this role, requiring courtesy and tact to mutually advance relationships.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of related work experience as a (Sr.) Project Coordinator or 2+ years as a Construction Manager. A minimum of 2 full project lifecycles on commercial or residential construction projects in excess of $20M or single-family projects in excess of $10M is required. Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset. P. Eng., PMP, Passive House, LEED, GSC, Mass Timber, or other technical certifications are also assets. Training in project-specific technical areas, such as Mass Timber or Passive House, is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Oversight of all aspects of project execution
  • Implementation and management of Kindred's Construction Managers systems and procedures
  • Strategic interaction with clients and external stakeholders
  • Leadership and direction of (Sr.) Project Coordinators or Administrators


Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of related work experience
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • P. Eng., PMP, Passive House, LEED, GSC, Mass Timber, or other technical certifications
  • Training in project-specific technical areas
