We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient-focused care within the scope of practice, based on the three-factor framework of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient and family-centered care, ensuring that practice is consistent with entry-to-practice competencies, standards of practice, guidelines, and legislation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, practicing collaboratively to provide elements of care for patients with complex health issues.
- Contribute to the assessment and documentation of each patient's health status, assisting in the development and implementation of the Plan of Care and evaluating its effectiveness.
- Assume charge nurse role when assigned, taking a leadership role in the coordination of patient care in assigned areas.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical pathways, providing consultation and clinical support to peers as needed.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BCLS certificate required.
- BScN preferred.
- Current ACLS certificate preferred.
- Recent experience working in a medical or complex medical rehab nursing unit within the last two years.
- Recent experience working with CVA patients.
- Current competence in using glucose monitoring devices.
- Competence in starting and maintaining IVs.
