As a Flowserve Control Valve Field Service Technician, you will be part of a team known for its industry-leading talent, unparalleled portfolio, and unmatched commitment to customer success. Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and repair Flowserve Control Valve Business Unit products at customer locations.
- Solicit the sale and installation of spare parts.
- Repair and overhaul competitor's valves when needed.
- Use valve diagnostic systems for predictive and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment returned to the factory for failure analysis.
- Provide technical phone support to customers.
- Assist Flowserve QRC's when requested and available.
- Assist the engineering department with failure evaluations.
- Initiate Non Conformance Reports (NCR's).
- Conduct diagnostic testing on control valves and interpret the results.
- College or technical school; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Basic knowledge of computers is helpful.
