About the Opportunity

The Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia (WCB) is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their Program Management Office. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for project management, business analysis, and program development, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as project manager or senior business analyst on various corporate projects, including designing and implementing continuous quality initiatives, monitoring and evaluating program content, delivery, and expenditures.
  • Provide expert advice and support to staff on specific programs and operations, and serve on committees and stakeholder groups to provide expert advice as required.
  • Ensure project initiation, scope, and definition are developed, and a proper business case is in place, including mandate, budget, and documentation packages.
  • Develop and execute project plans, manage and monitor project costs, data, and schedules, and anticipate and avoid project risks.
  • Participate in the development of new business processes, create documents related to data analysis and project management, and organize and facilitate meetings and workshops.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a high level of analytical and organizational skill, strong problem-solving skills, and experience conducting business analysis of root causes through data interpretation, process mapping, and needs assessments.

  • A university degree in a related field, preferably in the sciences or business fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a project management or business analysis capacity, combined with formal or informal leadership experience.
  • A certificate in project management is required.
