About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Stofa Restaurant. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Production
    • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
    • Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Inventory Management
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
    • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
    • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Customer Service
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
    • Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.

    • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a team environment.
