About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Milano Pizza. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food production.
    • Train and develop staff in their job duties, food safety and hygiene procedures, and customer service skills.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Establish and implement efficient methods to meet our work schedules and deadlines.
    • Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies to ensure we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform our business decisions.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that our food and service meet the highest quality control standards, consistently delivering excellent customer experiences.
    • Monitor and address any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administrative and Reporting
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on kitchen and front-of-house operations, including sales, inventory, and staff performance.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of new menu items, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or hospitality role, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Work Environment

Our kitchen and front-of-house areas are fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and high-quality food production. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods, with regular breaks to rest and recharge.
