We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Client Partner, General Health & Safety. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) program, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, regulations, and collective agreements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement OH&S policies, programs, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to management and staff on health and safety matters.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate hazards and prevent workplace injuries.
- Liaise with WorkSafeBC officers and investigate workplace incidents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with union executives and head office representatives to resolve OH&S-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
- Registration as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate related equipment and software.
