Job Summary
North York General Hospital seeks a skilled Social Worker to join our Paediatric Complex Care Clinic team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide essential interventions to patients and families through individual, family, and group treatment modalities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the utilization of resources to meet patients and families ongoing psychosocial needs.
- Provide supportive counseling to parents to aid in coping with complex care needs, chronic conditions, and their impact on families.
- Participate in and facilitate educational opportunities for social work students and the pediatric healthcare team.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of and close liaison with hospital and community resources.
- Advocate for patients' rights and ensure appropriate services are provided.
Requirements
- Master of Social Work degree required.
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers.
- Recent Paediatrics hospital experience.
