About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Flooring Specialist to join our team at B.C. LTD. As a key member of our flooring installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all flooring installations meet the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have experience in installing various types of flooring, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding.
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling.
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations.
  • Prepare floors for installations.
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads, as well as work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines to meet.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in flooring installation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.
